Dr. Smadar Tal

Dr. Tal is lecturer at the Department of Animal Science at Tel-Hai College, as well as at the Koret School of Veterinary Medicine at the Hebrew University. She earned her B.Sc. (1987) in biology from the Hebrew University, her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (1992) from the University of Guelph, her diplomacy in animal reproduction from the American College of Theriogenologists (2011) and the European College for Animal Reproduction (2014), and recently obtained her Ph.D. from the Hebrew University (2023). Her current areas of research are pregnancy/periparturient period in the dog (mainly fetal fluid research) and in canine neonates (focusing on fading puppy syndrome), as well as wildlife reproduction, mainly assisted reproductive techniques in bat reproduction for conservation, as well as reproduction in the Eurasian otters in the hula valley.
