Research

I am interested in many aspects of animal ecology, particularly food-web structure and species interactions across various taxonomic groups, including vertebrates, arthropods and microbes. We use both field experiments and modern molecular methods to elucidate how species interact with each other.

These are research areas that I am currently intrigued with:

  1. Trophic and microbe-host interactions of migratory birds
  2. Cascading effects of ecosystem engineers on microbial communities
