About the Center

The Regional Knowledge Center was established in collaboration with the Eastern Galilee Cluster, Tel-Hai College, the Coast-to-Coast Canada-Galilee Panhandle Partnership, and the Ronald S. Roadburg Foundation.

The main mission of the Regional Knowledge Center is to promote quality of life in the Eastern Galilee, and to ensure that policy making and changing, is based on relevant region-specific data. To insure this, the center collects information on relevant topics dealing with socio-economic trends in the Eastern Galilee, through public participation and data collection from local authorities and government ministries.

The Regional Knowledge Center’s goals are:

  • Creating a reliable, up-to-date annual index of quality of life that presents the components of quality of life in Eastern Galilee and through this mapping the region’s challenges and needs.
  • Analyzing knowledge and data collected and formulating conclusions to assist local authorities in designing policy and data-driven decision making.
  • Developing tools and skills for collecting and analyzing region-specific data.
  • Conducting research regarding regional challenges and needs.
  • Developing a regional approach, language and identity, utilizing an approach of public engagement and collaborative governance, creating ownership of change.
