Prof. Dorit Alt

Prof. Dorit Alt

Prof. Alt serves as the dean of the Faculty of Education and Instruction at Tel-Hai College in Israel. Her area of expertise lies in the development, implementation, and evaluation of future-oriented, technology-enhanced, competency-based learning environments. Her research focuses on teaching, learning, and assessment in the information age, with a view to developing lifelong learning skills that encompass cognitive, intrapersonal, and interpersonal aspects. Central to her studies is the design and evaluation of innovative learning environments that aim to enhance learners' abilities in achieving personal well-being, social sensitivity, and economic and occupational prosperity amidst social and global changes. Prof. Alt has authored research papers in leading scientific journals, and her research has earned her a prominent standing in the scientific international arena that advocates for the application and research on new learning environments, such as the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI). In addition, she has authored five books and more than 60 papers.
