Water Science (M.Sc.)
In this day and age, it is critical to develop educated uses and management of natural and artificial water sources including streams, groundwater, river basins, wetlands, ponds and others.
In Israel, the study of water sciences is imperative, as the water economy is a vital element in determining the standard of living, scope of possible development, and relationships with neighboring countries.
The program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to formulate rational and broadly informed solutions to complex water-related problems, and effectively implement various water-based programs.

Water shapes the earth in a variety of ways, from climate and geology to ecology and drinking water. In all these fields fascinating studies present new understandings and come to give practical solutions to the various challenges. Water is found in diverse systems and environments, and therefore the scope of research is broad: from geology and management/modeling of waterways to water treatment microbiology and various aspects of the effect of agricultural irrigation on vegetation and the environment.
Rich and poor countries alike are currently grappling with the problems of supplying good quality water to an ever-growing population. In addition, modern society is characterized by the consumption of water in quantities that are beyond the natural regeneration of the water reservoirs. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a more intelligent use of water resources and minimization of damages caused to natural water systems.
Tel Hai Academic College offers an MSc water program designed to train its graduates to treat industrial, agricultural, and domestic wastewater or to specialize in the characterization and quantification of hydro-bio-geochemical processes in watersheds, aquas, moist habitats, and others. Most of the time will be devoted to research in one of the research laboratories at Tel Hai or other northern research institutes area under the guidance of researchers on a variety of topics.
In addition, we meet weekly to study courses in a variety of subjects for joint learning.
Graduates of the program will be able to work in companies dealing with agriculture and water, in planning and consulting offices, local and national authorities, research institutes, and more, or alternatively, continue their studies for a Ph.D.
