Environmental Science (B.Sc.)
Accelerated social and economic development in recent years continually challenges our ability to preserve nature and the environment. The Environmental Science track, established as a direct result of this challenge, focuses on solutions for environmental preservation and sustainability.
The first academic institution in Israel to offer a track focusing solely on Environmental Science, Tel-Hai integrates studies from the fields of ecology, biology, physics, and chemistry.

If you are reading these lines, the environment is probably dear to your heart. I will spare you a long explanation about the importance of protecting the environment, about the polar bears and the ocean water level (I assume you have already heard this ״lecture״).
I am writing these lines while riding a public bus to college. I just looked up from the screen and saw two deer (male and female) standing in the middle of a wheat field near the road. This is exactly the reason I came to research and teach at Tel Hai College.
The environment interests me and I enjoy living close to nature. If you feel the same way, you belong with us.
We believe that environmental scientists must have a broad education. The environment consists of complex processes and relationships and recognition of this diversity is necessary to deal with environmental challenges. However, good intentions and caring are a necessary but not sufficient condition to deal with environmental problems. The environment is physical and chemical and as such it requires from those involved in it an in-depth and quantitative understanding of the core subjects of the sciences (physics, mathematics, chemistry, and biology). Only in this way is it possible to really get to the bottom of ecological, geographic, and land-water-atmosphere issues, circulation, and the climate crisis. Environmental awareness and aspiration for sustainability are a first and necessary step - but in order to truly solve problems, scientific depth and breadth are required, because without them - the treatment of the environment remains mere slogans.
And here are some more good reasons to study at Tel Hai College:
A small and intimate class with a personal relationship between lecturers and students.
Possibilities to get involved in research.
Support center for students with learning disabilities.
Personal tutoring and academic reinforcements for those who have difficulty in their studies.
Communal and happy student life.
