Discovery Award
Supports innovative, untested, non-incremental, high-risk/potentially high-reward research that will provide new insights, paradigms, technologies or applications. Not intended to support the logical progression of an already established line of questioning.
Funding: $275,000 for 2 years.
Investigator-Initiated Research Award
Supports research that will make an important contribution toward research, patient care and/or quality of life for a disease of condition in the Topic Area(s) of interest.
Funding: $1.0 million for 4 years.
Discovery Award
Supports applied research, defined as use-inspired and practice-oriented science that
brings together outcomes from basic research, and insights from real-world environment to foster clinical applicability in the Topic Area(s) of interest. Partnering Principal Investigator Option available.
Funding: $2.0 million for single investigators and $2.6 million for partnering
Investigators for 4 years.
Lifestyle and Behavioral Health Interventions Research Award
Supports using a combination of scientific disciplines including behavioral health,
psychology, psychometrics, biostatistics and epidemiology, surveillance and public health that will enhance patient experience and improve outcomes. Projects may include clinical research or clinical trials for interventions that do not require regulation by the FDA.
Funding: $3.0 million for 4 years.
