Galilee Studies are multidisciplinary, regional studies that integrate fields such as historical geography, environmental sciences, sociology, archaeology and anthropology.
The curriculum focuses on population, society and culture in the Galilee Region. Tel-Hai College believes that in this manner students will not only know the region better, but also understand it in a greater and deeper way.

Welcome to the Galilee Studies MA program at Tel Hai College.
The Galilee Studies program is unique, with no equivalent in the academic world in Israel and beyond. It was established in 2017 with the approval of the Israeli Council for Higher Education, offering a thesis and non-thesis track.
What do we offer, and to whom?
Regional studies, by their very nature, are multidisciplinary and aim to provide students with a deep understanding and recognition of a specific region. This program examines the Galilee region and the areas bordering it through the intersectionality of various academic fields, including geography, history (political, social, and local), natural sciences (exploring the world of flora and fauna from an environmental perspective), and social sciences (sociology and anthropology). By their very nature, master's degree studies, even if they are not on a thesis track, require a large amount of independent study and work. Using a regional approach, students are encouraged to engage and research familiar topics and issues relating to their place of residence, society, and community. Students are encouraged to investigate the material world and social issues they encounter during their lives in the region.
Classes are held on Mondays, from the morning till evening. This program is intended for individuals with a bachelor's degree in fields such as Israeli studies, history of the Jewish people, Middle East history, archaeology, geography, environmental studies, social sciences, and more. Of course, as a regional studies program, there are numerous tours and fieldwork. So, we invite suitable candidates - individuals from all types of environmental organizations, teachers who wish to participate in a challenging yet intriguing master's degree, and those who wish to deepen their knowledge on issues related to the Land of Israel in general and the Galilee in particular - to come to us! We promise an interesting, even fascinating, program that explores a variety of fields and subjects with leading senior faculty from the college and beyond.
