The Department of Multidisciplinary Studies has existed since the establishment of the College and has built a reputation of excellence, openness and scientific innovation. The department is dynamic, and offers options for studies in a single or dual-disciplinary track.
The department offers courses in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Gender, History, Philosophy, Environmental Studies, Israeli Studies, Politics and Government, and Conflict Management and Resolution.
The department provides students with a proper academic infrastructure, which builds a solid and professional foundation for future specialization. Students are given the ability to understand and analyze the socio-cultural landscape using sociological and anthropological tools, with an emphasis on the multicultural aspects of Israeli society in general and the northern region specifically.
Upon graduating, students will be able to analyze, understand, explain, and critically evaluate the situation of social groups, organizations and communities, and various social processes using theoretical and practical tools gained during their studies.

This dynamic world requires individuals with a breadth and depth of complex cultural and historical knowledge and the ability to think outside of the box in order to understand and analyze various phenomena, both visible and hidden. This world necessitates creativity, intersectionality, openness to change, and empathy for others.
The Multidisciplinary Studies Department offers an array of opportunities to develop these skills. Through our curriculum, you will embark on a journey through various social science and humanities fields, visiting places that push you beyond familiar/known boundaries.
This journey provides you with deep, meaningful, interdisciplinary knowledge you have never encountered before. We call on/encourage/invite you to join us and discover new possibilities of living and thought, realize your creativity, and develop your critical thinking.
The knowledge and skills you gain will prepare you for the modern job market that is thirsty for individuals who know how to think differently and find new and creative solutions to the multitude of complex problems facing the world.
