Faculty of Education and Teaching
It is well known how vital physical education is to lead a healthy lifestyle. Physical education and exercise are combined as essential components of the curriculum in a wide range of educational establishments and schools.
Our graduates are prepared for the field of physical education teaching as well as for integration into a variety of educational systems through the integration of theoretical and practical fields of study in a curriculum designed in compliance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Education's department for training teaching staff.
Among the subjects studied: education, psychology, anatomy and physiology, research methods, sciences, various sports, maritime education (under the selection cluster sailing and maritime education) methods to promote health (under the selection cluster promoting health in the life cycle) sports and physical activity, community, entrepreneurship, tourism (under the leisure and recreation selection cluster) and more.
The physical education program requires completion of all courses. The selection cluster that each student will specialize in is up to them to decide. Acceptance is determined by entrance exams and space availability. The students receive training that leads directly to five years of study toward a bachelor's, master's, and teaching credential.

Dr. Orr Levental
The Department of Physical Education at the Tel Hai Academic College, Katzrin Campus, is the only department in the north of the Israel that has been training physical education teachers for over 30 years. From the north to the south of the nation, our alumni are at the forefront of physical education teaching.
The studies take place in the magical landscapes of the Golan and the Galilee, and our students represent the entire population of the State of Israel: Jews, Druze, Muslims, Circassians, Christians, Bedouins, and more. Through the teaching of physical education, we try to inculcate universal values of multiculturalism as well as Israeli civic values.
The teaching faculty of Tel Hai Academy's physical education department views physical education as a means of promoting moral principles and a healthy way of living. Our goal is to prepare our children's future teachers based on our belief in the education of the body and soul, understanding that the quality of education we provide will determine the destiny of society.
Graduates of the program are qualified to work in both formal and informal educational settings, instructing and guiding a multi-age target audience. The program covers teaching, education, and a variety of sports in addition to a practicum. During the studies, the students are also trained as instructors in gyms and health centers.
We wish our graduates well on their journey and are confident that their pupils will be taught by the greatest educators.
