A bachelor's degree in education stands as a paramount avenue for shaping the future generation. Few occupations wield a more profound impact on the populace than that conferred by such a degree. Consequently, it empowers individuals to influence the development of children, teenagers, and adults, providing pathways to specializations, as well as advanced studies at the master's and doctoral levels in education, therapy (such as art therapy, drama therapy, and educational counseling), and related fields.
The Department of Education at Tel Hai Academic College has established two overarching objectives:
1. Bestowing high-caliber academic qualifications upon graduates, cultivating individuals endowed with comprehensive knowledge and critical analytical capabilities.
2. Furnishing both male and female graduates with a socio-cultural foundation, enabling them to contribute their skills to the advancement of society and culture, fostering active citizenship.
This ethos forms a bridge between academia and society, drawing students from the Galilee and beyond—individuals representing diverse communities and cultures united by shared attributes of intellectual curiosity, social commitment, and a strong ethical foundation.

We are observing a gradual shift from an education system rooted in the industrial revolution era to a novel educational paradigm tailored for the dynamics of the 21st century.
The challenges confronting the Israeli education system underscore the significance and mission inherent in opting for the academic trajectory within the Department of Education.
Education, conceived as a lifelong learning process, encompasses the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes. It plays a pivotal social role, contributing to individual self-realization and fulfillment. Academic knowledge in education forms the bedrock for teaching, guidance, and support in both formal and informal educational settings, extending to later life stages, including the parenting process.
Undoubtedly, the role of educators is paramount in ensuring the success of the educational process. My perspective aligns with the sentiment encapsulated in the words of former US President Abraham Lincoln: "A tall man is he who stoops to help a little child". Education founded on closeness, responsibility, care, understanding, and active involvement catalyzes positive change. A readiness to listen, learn, innovate, and adapt is indispensable in achieving educational and social objectives.
Educational leadership is imperative for every educator—requiring the ability to lead, influence, swiftly adapt to changing circumstances, innovate, navigate uncertainty, tackle complex tasks, and bring out the best in oneself and others.
To excel in this endeavor, the Department of Education's lecturers regularly engage in academic research, deepening their knowledge fields and imparting relevant, up-to-date skills to students. Consequently, students cultivate research skills during their studies, contributing to the development of a more professional graduate image and enhancing their potential for advanced degrees.
Students from diverse regions nationwide converge upon the Department of Education with the shared goal of learning, evolving in the field, and acquiring tools to advance their integration, involvement, and influence on a renewed design of the Israeli education system.
The faculty of the Department of Education, along with myself, extends an invitation for you to partake in this journey of learning, personal development, and professional growth imbued with a distinct spirit.
